DESCRIPTION:Double Down Time is a blues-based stripped down and “raw” trio that performs their original music and a sprinkle of blues covers. With Julia JD on harmonica and keys\, David on guitar and slide and Ms. Lisa on percussion\, they “double down” on toe-tapping rhythms\, memorable melodies and vocals that showcase textured harmonies. This trio nerds out on the love of breaking down music to its core\, mixing things up and then bringing every note back to new life. We embrace minimal acoustic instrumentation and arrangements\, and strive for soulful\, energetic vocal harmonies and improvisation. We think of songs as storytelling primarily. With all that’s transpired we are excited about so many new stories to tell through music. We bring new interpretations to the music that we cover\, and craft new stories in the tunes we write ourselves\, to form soundbites we describe as authentic\, inspiring\, down-homey rockin’ bluesy fun!

DESCRIPTION:Midtown Dreamers are a local Palo Alto folk-rock band with a passion to create music that’s uplifting\, expressive\, and soulful. They came together as a response to the social isolation of Covid back in the summer of 2020\, and bonded over musical influences spanning from Elvis to 80’s alternative to 90’s grunge and pop. They perform regularly at the Cal Ave Farmers Market in midtown Palo Alto and at local music events\, building a loyal crowd of regulars and exposing younger generations to artists such as Neil Young\, REM\, Tom Petty\, as well as British alternative such as Radiohead\, The Cure\, and The Smiths. They also perform original compositions\, with a demo in the works. Come out and dance\, have a drink\, and maybe hear some of your favorite songs!
